Foster Grandparent Program

Make a difference in a child's life...

As a Foster Grandparent, you can make a difference in the life of a child with special needs by serving as their "Grandma" or "Grandpa" in places such as Head Start Centers, schools or day care facilities.

To be a Foster Grandparent you must:

  • be 55 years of age or older
  • meet income guidelines
  • pass a physical and criminal background check, and
  • be available to serve a minimum of 15 hours per week

Foster Grandparents receive a tax-free monetary reimbursement and other benefits for their help.

The Foster Granparent Program is funded by the Corporation of National Community Service and the United Way of Bradford County; and is sponsored by the B/S/S/T Area Agency on Aging, Inc.
